Windsurfing: Secret Spot Tanner Lane nr Lymington Wind Direction: se Wind Stength: v light Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: 23 Sea Temperature: 17 Weather: sunny Max Speed: 8.49 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 7 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
Completely knackered after the bike rides and having sailed 8 of the last 9
days :) but not many of them with the right size sail :( so was looking
forward to a quiet afternoon sitting on the beach watching the boats in the
Solent !!! We wanted to look at a spot between Beaulieu and Lymington and
could not believe our luck when we drove to the most wonderful place where
you could park right on the beach for free with the most fantastic views of
the Needles etc !!! Speaking to a local windsurfer down to teach his son in
the light airs who said they like to keep quiet about the place hence
'secret spot'.So after lunch and only sharing the whole beach on a sunny
bank holiday afternoon with 20 or so others decided to have a longboard
flounder to explore.I headed slowly down the Solent to Lymington harbour
where I watched the two Isle of Wight ferries pass while surrounded by a
shoal of mullet :) then back for tea and cake and a walk with Mag and Rob
to end a great weekend !!!!!!!!!!!!
